This page explains what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. We keep it short and specific rather than long and legalistic.
What we collect
We only collect information you type into a form and submit. Nothing on this site tracks you in the background.
The internship application asks for your name, your parents' names, date of birth, email address, mobile number, address and city, your university or organisation, and your areas of interest. The event registration form asks for your name, email address, mobile number, organisation, and the type of attendee you are.
We ask for these details so we can assess applications, contact you about them, and organise the seminar. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the society except the service providers described below.
If you are under 18
Some of our programmes are open to school and college students. If you are under 18, please apply with a parent or guardian's knowledge and consent. If you believe a child's information has been submitted without that consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Where it goes
Form submissions are delivered by Formspree, which passes them to the society's email inbox. This website is published as static pages on Cloudflare Pages, whose servers keep standard access logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability. Both are third-party services with their own privacy policies.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run analytics. The only browser storage it uses is a note of whether you have dismissed the site announcement bar, which stays on your device and is not sent anywhere.
How long we keep it
Applications and registrations are kept for as long as they are useful to the programme they relate to, and to keep a record of past cohorts and seminars. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond.
